Latvia Hopes to Adopt the Euro on 1 January 2014
On 16 March, the Latvian government decided to set 1 January 2014 as the new target for adoption of the euro as the national currency. The euro adoption is viewed as a national strategic objective for sustainable recovery and economic stability. (March 19, 2010)

Danish Ambassadors: Come to the Baltic Region
Right now Danish companies have good reasons to look towards Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania for new business opportunities. Some Danish companies have been concerned about the impact of the global financial crisis in the three previously high-growth Baltic economies but according to the Danish Ambassadors in the three countries, there are still very good both export and outsourcing opportunities. Riga Named as the Most Cost Effective City in Europe
